A Hidden Generation seeks to inform and create a national dialogue for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people who may not otherwise be informed about how forced Canadian child welfare policies have impacted thousands of Indigenous peoples’ lives. Our film will be a means of raising the level of understanding in Indigenous communities that are still impacted and in need of closure, healing and accountability.

This group was formed in July 2013 to support Deepan Budlakoti in his quest to have his Canadian citizenship restored. Deepan is an Ottawa-born man who the Canadian government is trying to deport to India, a country where he has never lived and is not a citizen. We have organized numerous public education and awareness events about Deepan’s case, situating his experience within a larger context of double punishment, systemic racism, criminalization and incarceration.
In the Learning Garden we grow food for people and pollinators, while the pollinators maintain the productiveness of the plants. We learn and garden together without chemicals at 2 campus gardens. For more information:

We, the Proletarian Feminist Front – Ottawa (PFF), want to build the proletarian feminist movement in Ottawa and across Canada! In uniting non-cis-male folks from all origins on a class basis, we strive to build the greatest unity while preserving our will to fight in the most radical way. We also hope to bring together revolutionary feminists in order to develop our capacities as progressive, anti-oppressive organizers through theory discussion groups, campaigns, and other events.
The Revolutionary Student Movement (RSM) is a new attempt to build a Canada-wide revolutionary, combative, militant, and anti-capitalist student movement. Sick and tired of being told that the status quo is the best we can do? Another world free from oppression, exploitation, and alienation is possible and Marxism can help inform us as to how to get there! We are revolutionary students developing our skills as progressive, anti-oppressive organizers. Come and check us out, the Revolutionary Student Movement holds separate meetings in French and in English.
