Eligible undergraduate students who wish to withdraw their support from The Ontario Public Interest Research Group-Ottawa (OPIRG) and its mandate will be able to obtain a refund for their $4.02 contribution during the period specified below. Full-time graduate students, being OPIRG members, can also obtain a refund. However, their student levy, and thus their refund, is only $2.50.
OPIRG is a bilingual, non-profit, student-funded, student-based and student-directed organization. OPIRG is dedicated to the areas of social justice and the environment and is part of a country-wide network.
OPIRG’s office is located in room 215D of the University Centre. If you are registered for one or more of the summer semesters, you are eligible to receive a refund of $4.02. If you wish to obtain a refund you may do so from Monday, September 23 to Friday October 4, 2019, excluding Wednesdays and weekends, from 1:00 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the OPIRG office. Please call 613-562-5800, ext. 4364 if you would like more information.
Any eligible student wishing to obtain a refund must do so in person and must present her/his valid student card as well as their registration and proof of payment form for the summer semester.
